that is commercial software. maybe they have linux versions. at least they should (like matlab does, for example).

Is it CFD that you are looking for? I think OpenFOAM might be something you can have a look.

You answered your own question. ANSYS runs on Linux. I didn't think solidworks could do CFD though.

... Do you want help installing it? Do you want to explain why you can't install it? You can't install the Windows version, it has to be the Linux version.

I have never tried the Linux version myself. I did however remember that they generally support the Redhat/Suse based distribution. Not sure if it is as easy to install in the debian/Ubuntu based distribution. Most likely it will but probably need some tweaking?
