I am having a on going problem with a new installation of ubuntu. I am using the default music player and it is working fine untill I go to try and play a file. Once I try and play a song off of my external hard drive that holds all my music it drops the drive(meaning my drive is no longer visable) all of a sudden.
Also on a side note I hear a lot of static coming from my speakers at random moments. When I first install unbuntu my sound card worked fine..now I hear nothing.
