How do i change the default file manager?

Hi, I've decided that I want a better file manager then nautilus, so upon the advice from Linux Format magazine I want to give emelfm2 a go.

I installed it and like what I see, so I have now removed nautilus but now have the problem that applications such as firefox who can open the folder that contains the download can no longer do so.

How can I set emelfm2 as the default file manager?

    Thanks in advance,

Another good one is PCmanFM, a lot of people like it.
