update manager error

when i try to install or update anything from update manager of terminal i receive the following error

Reading package lists... Error!
E: Encountered a section with no Package: header
E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/sa.archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_jaunty-updates_restricted_binary-i386_Packages 

any idea how to reslove this issue

no i did not add a custom ones the last application i installed was x-sensors

and when i tried to remove it i couldn't maybe its the one causing this issue

System>Admin>Software sources>Third party tab. Uncheck them all and try out the update again.

Ok i did something else to solve this issue

i uncheck all the selection on UBUNTU SOFTWARE

then i tried to update after updating which didn't update anything it just display [Reading package lists... Done]

then i check them all on UBUNTU SOFTWARE and i update it and it works fine
