The problem I'm having is that I can see one of my network Vista shares but I cannot write to it ("Create Folder/Create Document" are greyed out in File Browser). Also, drilling deeper than one folder displays no files. Strangely, I have another Vista share on the same computer that allows writing just fine. Both mount at boot-up and both have the same entry in fstab (except for the mount share name, of course!). I've tried changing permissions as root, but they don't seem to help. I also cannot seem to get winbind to install on Jaunty. Rather, it seems to install, then hangs on "Starting winbind daemon" in Terminal. On reboot, the system hangs after loading the samba daemons. If I remove winbind, it boots normally. Any help gratefully accepted!
