Problem with kdenlive rendering theora video

Kdenlive can't render my video into theora. It makes a file thats only 900kb. And most other video formats are greyed out and I can't select them. The only format it will let me use is .avi

Whats wrong? Is their a package I need to install?

I too have this problem. When the render to Theora option is selected, kdenlive starts to render but the rendering process eventually crashes.

Update: I installed the latest KDEnlive today from the website: Kdenlive Version 0.7.7. It rendered to an .ogv file okay.
