Yes they would but they are relatively light weight as compared to sed and awk.

This is not to say we don't use them - I have used them freely but if u start having bottle necks - we investigate.

From 50% to nearly zero - how much proof do I need.

ok have the program data config also currdata.html as the source data attached in zip images u can use anything - it adds to much bulk - u know what over caste looks like...

    have a look

oh and just added the conkyrc file etc the rc file is wx-wu-psl-02

    cheers

Thanks for your time man; I'll definitely have a look at them.

I feel like an annoying kid, but here goes:

I really like the weather on my desktop and know this was a lot of work for you, but I was wondering if there is a way I could remove the text below next nine days of forecasts?

Right now I have things like:

    SUNDAYny and mild

    Mild with clouds and

    Sunday through high

I'd just as soon remove those and leave the image along with high and low temperatures.
    Thank you,

Just remove the calls from your .conkyrc file.

    @paramvir:
Thanks for your time in creating these versions of the scripts.
I had a look at them; they're quite good - but implementing your method in all the scripts would require me to rewrite them almost from the beginning, just to gain 1~2% of ram/cpu usage, a thing that I'm not ready to do at the moment.
Perhaps in the future, who knows... (I hope you're not offended).

Been a while, I'm slowly getting back into things. Here's a modified version of the default

    1d1)Accuweather - Images - INTERNATIONAL USERS

It's more compact, fits smaller screens - but I like it on my screen regardless. Text for "conditions" other than right now have been removed and the "images" have been resized "180x180" making them easier to change the size in the conky itself.

    The conky: ~/AccuW/AccuW.conky

everything you need, images and all are in: AccuW.tar.gz. Extract that to ~/ and after changing /home/sector11/ to /home/your_name/ in:
    Code:
    /home/sector11/AccuW/acc_int_images
    /home/sector11/AccuW/AccuW.conky
    run:
    Code:
    conky -c ~/AccuW/AccuW.conky &
Have fun ... good to be back!

If I remember correctly, he's not from Sweden, just living there. So, makes sense to me. Unless I'm mixing him up with someone else?
