Cool NVidia GeForce 7800 GS: normal drivers or legacy?

I'm currently using Ubuntu 8.04 (cuz it works, and I don't have time to upgrade), with a NVidia GeForce 7800 GS graphics card, and I have no clue whether I need the legacy or normal drivers (the 'older GeForce' thing's too ambiguous!).
On another note, the drivers don't appear on the Hardware Drivers' list! I'm still relatively new to the bash prompt, so how am I supposed to install the drivers?

edit: in case you thought otherwise (which you probably didn't), no I can't raise the resolution past 800x600.
