app menu loss

when i click on the gnome menu icon. the drop down dose not have any of my applications on it. i created a new user and then loged in. the problem is not replicated and i have the menu. is there a way to fix the app menu on my first accound?

I don't know if theres a way of resetting the menu automatically, but you can edit the menus by right clicking on the "Applications" button, then select Edit Menus.
