    Alternative to TI-Nspire software?

I need a calculator program similar to the TI-Nspire software.

If you're not familar with this software it can:
    • Graph equations
    • Make bar, pie, dot, and line charts
    • Generate random numbers
    • Permutations / Combinations
    • Many more things

And yes, this is computer software, not the calculator itself.

I think your going to have to look into using VirtualBox at sun.com and try running XP that is what I do when I have programmer that are not smart enough to write programs that run on Linux.

Perhaps Qalculate would do what you want. http://qalculate.sourceforge.net/

You'll find both Gnome & KDE versions in the repositories.

    Re: Alternative to TI-Nspire software?

I have successfully installed TI-Nspire CAS Student Software on my Netbook computer using Wine. Wine is a free software application that aims to allow computer programs written for Microsoft Windows to run on Unix-like operating systems. Wine also provides a software library, known as Winelib, against which developers can compile Windows applications to help port them to Unix-like systems

For more information please visit Wine's Wikipedia page at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wine_(software)

How did you manage to do that? When I tried with wine, it told me I was out of disk space, but i have 75+GB remaining. Any suggestions?
