    9.04 "cant enable desktop effects"

Under hardware drivers there are no graphic drivers to be enabled.

Is there anything that I can do to get the desktop effects to work?

    Is this a common bug?

What graphics card do you have?

Yes many ATI graphics cards were blacklisted (not supported with new ATI Catalyst drivers) Thus you should run lspci and find out the model of your video card and compare against ati's blacklist if it is an ati. I've heard of a few pple with nvdia cards having problems too though.

There is information about "performance regression" on Intel cards in the release notes http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/rele...aphics%20cards
