Question OS X apps in Linux?

I know the Wine folks have spent years and years and piles of money getting Windows software to work on Linux, but what about Mac software?

I would think it would be easier, since OS X is mostly Free-BSD under the hood.

I know some projects (Ardour, in particular) have Linux & Mac versions, but no Windows version in the offing 'cause the infrastructure is too different.

    Thanks in advance!

So you want iTunes for your Ubuntu box?...just kidding. Other than the Apple specific items, isn't Mac software a subset of Windows software at this point? I know it was very different long ago, but nowadays, to my knowledge, the only Mac-only software is made by Apple.

Actually I was thinking more in terms of Pro Tools, or Final Cut.

I admit Final Cut might be asking a lot, and even on Mac, Pro Tools is pretty finicky about configurations. . .
