    A Couple of Noobie Questions

    Hi All,

I wish I could switch entirely over to Ubuntu, but there are just a couple of things I still need for work in XP and no Linux equivalents yet.

So, I just installed Jaunty 64 bit on a Thinkpad T61 to use for this work and I'm going to try out VirtualBox to load XP as a vm. I'll probably set up a 12G disk image for XP to reside in.

My first question is, in which partition would this image reside? I'm assuming it would be somewhere in /home in which case I've got plenty of room there. Currently, here's my partitions on an 80G HDD:

    20G for root (/)
    54G for /home
    6G for swap (I have 4G ram)

Question #2 is that I don't want Windows to have any internet access--I am just SO tired of all that malware junk. Is that possible?

    Any suggestions and advice?

    Thanks in advance,

    Steve

For #2 just make sure you select no network adapters for the VM, that way there's no chance of it contacting anything.
