fail to install ubuntu 9.03 at compaq cq40-324tu laptop

Did anyone know how to install the ubuntu in compaq cq40-324tu laptop? it kept show me the error message I/O error Error boot from CD. Sometimes can start install, but it will hang at blank screen and do nothing at all. i kept waiting for 30min still same in the blank screen.

Have you checked the CD for errors?

i have try to use another CD to install. still facing the same problem. And i go and download the 64bit version of Ubuntu. it can run until to the orange color screen and hang over there.
My compaq Presario model is CQ40-324TU. Intel Core2Duo T6400, 1GN DDR2 RAM, 320GB HDD,
