Ath9k low signal strength on Jaunty 9.04

Install those 2 packages:

1-linux-backports-modules-jaunty
2-wicd

Reboot... and inform us of your results

I used the back port fix and my signal strength increased as did my transmissions speeds.

Installing linux-backports-modules-jaunty and wicd worked perfectly for me. I went from having a very crappy signal (mostly not even connecting) to having a great connection with very fast speed. Thank you very much. This made me a very happy man.

it work on karmic too.
package you need to install is:

1) linux-backports-modules-karmic
2) wicd

But I'm not sure if it working with the default gnome-network-manager as well, cuz I tried with wicd on the first place. If it's the modules problem, then it will also working with the default network manager as well. If anyone got info about this, please do share.
