Ubuntu telnet client & cisco terminal server

I really need some help with trying to get a client that works with a shortcut that allows me to exit from a terminal session.

I have connected my linux server via a console cable to a configured cisco terminal server. When i reverse telent into a switch, i should be able to press ctrl+shift+6+x so that the terminal session is cancelled and the previous session appears. This command isn't available on Minicom.

Please please can someone help me. I have been trying to fiddle for days!
