    Macbook 5.1 : x86 or 64?

    Hi,

I would like to install Jaunty on my Macbook pro 5.1 unibody. I don't know if i should go for a i386 or amd64 version.

Even if Core 2 Duo processors support 64-bit, is AMD64 version alright? I'm affraid it's just for AMD processor.

    Cheers,
    Kal

Yes, the instruction set is named after AMD because they really created most of it.

FWIW, I'm running 64 bit on a MacBook 5.1 (aluminum unibody). Suits me fine.
