Creative PD1170 Webcam not working with 9.04 Release Candidate

Creative Labs Notebook Webcam PD1170 does not work with Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope 9.04

I like to use Kopete, and have installed libjasper-runtime, and qca-tls (because in all previous versions of Ubuntu this would be required to get the cam up and running with Kopete. I have also installed Gyachi 1.1.0-1, and it's missing dependency, libltdl3_1.5.26-4_i386.deb, which I had to download from Debian (because it too is missing from the Jaunty repositories. Both Kopete and Gyach work well, but neither one will work with my webcam(s). I aslo installed the gpsca video for linux (v4l) driver with no affect. I am not sure what is next.

Can anyone help me?

One additional thing, I have just installed aMsn messenger, and the webcam does work in it. Not in Kopete and Gyach though.

I sure hate to bump things, but, I think that I waited long enough. I sure wish someone new a fix for using cam (Creative Labs PD1170) with kopete and gyache?? Still have not found a solution.

gyache 1.0.1 is ancient.

you need to have the latest version.

Thank you loell, works great, I have also upgraded my amsn messenger to 0.98b and now the cam does not work with it, works great with gyach now though. The reason I upgraded was because Winks were added to the newer version.
