Startup manager will not load

I installed startup manager just a minute ago and when i launch it it says "performing pre-configuration tasks" then it just exits. When I try running it in Terminal I get this:
jawsykilla@jawsykilla-desktop:~$ gksudo startupmanager
Grub2 not detected
Searching for GRUB installation directory ... found: /boot/grubGrub Legacy detected
Usplash detected
Splashy not detected

and then nothing happens, I thought Usplash was causing it to not load so I uninstalled usplash and funnily enough it loaded but then I couldn't change my splash screen. I've installed Usplash again and now startup manager isn't working again.
Help please!

Thanks, I don't know why I never thought of that seeing as it wasn't detected. Once again many thanks, oh How do i close the thread?

You can't anymore unfortunately, edit your first post, press "Go Advanced" and then put (solved) after your thread title
