    USB Startup disk grub problem

    Hello

I've created a USB startup disk from a live cd version of 8.10. When I try and boot from the USB stick it simply displays the message "Grub" and boots no further.

I have the additional problem that the computer I am using is currently HD less. I do have two USB sticks though, one for getting ubunutu on and another smaller one for saving files temporarily.

Any ideas or pointers. I've spent a good few hours on this and gotten no where.

    Thanks

    G

I've never managed to get the USB startup disk creator to work properly. However, there's another app called unetbootin that does the same thing and seems to work fine. It can create a LiveUSB from an existing .ISO image, or else it will download the image off the net.
