    Lately Ubuntu has just been looking like another debian side distro, no real distinction other then color scheme.
    I was taking "style" to mean more than artwork in this context (cf. the original post). Ubuntu ships with a specific configuration of Gnome with its own user interface and tools.

    The point of my post is that, in contrast to "Linux", Ubuntu has a much more specific "style".

    It's also worth pointing out that as Ubuntu gets more popular, it shapes the development of Gnome and naturally becomes more generic, because generic Gnome is becoming more Ubuntu-like.
