    Need Help with two things...

    1. I want to upgrade to 8.10 (currently 7.10) but my Ethernet card runs at a max speed of 60Kb/s! Ubuntu estimates 12 hours to download! Where can I find a updated driver for my Ethernet Card (PCI)?

    2. I can't find the partition manager, where is it?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place or if the questions I'm asking are noobish, my knowledge of Ubuntu, on scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being lowest, is like a 5-ish. I have a score of 9 in Windows XP, though.

    Specs:

    Windows XP SP3/Ubuntu 7.10-16
    AMD Duron 1.3Ghz
    WD Caviar SD 80GB
    2x 256MB RAM

    Ethernet Card, according to Ubuntu:

    Vendor: ADMtek
Device: NC100 Network Everywhere Fast Ethernet 10/100

    Status: Status
    Bus Type: PCI

    Device Type: Unknown
    Capabilities: Unknown

Unfortunately you can't update directly from 7.10 to 8.10 you have to update to 8.04 first. You might better off getting a cd from Shjpit, then doing a clean install.
