    [OLD] Java Sound Output Bug

Sound from Java applications and sound from normal applications will not play at the same time: How can I fix this?

    Thanks!

double click your volume control and make sure master, pcm and front are turned up to a sufficient level

Thanks for the help but I can't see any 'front' slider, these are the slider I see:

    Master: ¾
    Headphone: ¾
    PCM: ¾
    Line-in: 0
    CD: ¾
    Microphone: 0

I have also checked preferences and there is no 'front' there either.

Red face Re: Sound Output Bug

Sorry, I made a mistake; the reason I couldn't hear my IM alerts is because Rhythmbox is proportionally far louder then the IM alerts; however Java applications still cause a problem.

    Question Bump

Forgive me, but it's been a week and I'm still having problems with Java.
