    eth0 - not available! - RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+ (rev 10)

    Hi there. Long talk made short, problem im facing with looks like this:


    Tried manual (static) ip settings also, with no luck and different duplex speed options with autoneg off/on, but seems like its somekind driver problem?! (Sadly, I`m new to linux and not understanding all of this yet).

    cable/router/n.card are tested and OK - were working under Windows XP with no problems.

    This terminal output is made with livecd (ubuntu 8.10 - also tested 6.10, 8.06, centOS 5.2 - as installed or livecd - everytime same problem. So now, I want to get network working with livecd`s before installing anything again on hdd. Windows hdd was removed that time.)

    Today I tried Ubuntu 9,04 and got network working finaly!

    # ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ sudo mii-tool eth0 -F 10baseT-FD
    # ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ sudo rmmod 8139too
    # ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ sudo modprobe 8139too
