The Georgia Tech Linux Users Group performs an install fest at least once a semester I think. It will happen somewhere on Georgia Tech's Atlanta campus. Attendance is free and open to the public. There is one coming up next month (InstallFest 41)

Watch this forum and http://ubuntu-georgia.org for updates. Planning for Atlanta Linux Fest 2009 is underway. We are currently overhauling the website at http://atlantalinuxfest.org. We'll post about it and publicly announce it when its ready. It will be held on Software Freedom Day, Saturday, September 19th 2009.
