Anyone tried the new ATI drivers v9.1 released Jan09 vs Envy

I was just curious to see if anyone had tried to use the new ATI drivers that were posted Jan 29th, 2009. I'm using Envy right now, but for some reason I'd just have a warmer, fuzzier feeling if I were able to use "proper" ATI drivers. I can't give up things like Compiz though. Anyone?

I used it recently on my laptop just to see if I could in 8.10, it worked alright I suppose. I switched back to integrated graphics after about an hour though to save battery.I know compiz worked, but beyond that I couldn't really say.

For my two cents I'd just say stick with envy, theres nothing warm and fuzzier than something that works well without breaking your head wide open on your desk to get it there. Unless there is some terrible bug or terrific fix I'd stick with what you have, I haven't check the literature on the difference between the two drivers though.
