    45nm Right ?
45 is cooler and less power hungry so the only thing is can guess is that if they roll out 45nm laptops people will stop purchasing older Athlon Xp/core2 duo laptops and then manufacturers will get stuck with inventory they can't get rid of and suffer a large loss.

I for one certainly would not purchase a 95 or 65nm based laptop knowing that 45 and 32 is around the corner.

I guess you mean 45nm. And who do you mean with "they"? There have been 45nm processors for notebooks for a long time already. My Dell XPS M1530 has a T9300, which is a 45nm Intel Core 2 Duo processor. I've had it since April 2008.
