Ubuntu Compatible Closed Source Apps I've Found

For those of us without a philosophical issue with Closed-Source, I thought I would post a list of the closed source apps that I have found that have helped with me transition into the world of Linux. Also am listing others that I have found.

Please feel free to add any that I have missed.

    1. Nvidia Drivers - for my graphics Card
    2. MoneyDance - the application that allowed me to start the journey
    3. Neverwinter Nights - Tons of RPG fun.
    4. World of Goo - Thank you 2d Boy for supporting Linux
    5. Adobe Flash Player - Hulu.com time-shifting for those without cable.
    6. Adobe Acrobat Reader - Prefer what I am used to.
    7. Amazon MP3 Downloader App - Music store goodness without DRM
    8. Skype - free phone calls, since have purchased a Skype Phone.
    9. Opera - great backup to Firefox.
    10. Picasa - Photo Editing.
    11. PowerDVD Linux - DVD Player software offered through Canonical
    12. Fluendo Codecs - MP3 Codec mainly, but others are available (again at the canonical store)

    Suggested by others:

    1. Google Earth
    2. Turbo Print 2
    3. Doom 3
    4. Quake 4
    5. VMWare Server and Workstation
    6. Prey
    7. Unreal Tournament 2004
    8. Gridwars
    9. FoxIt Reader

I find that my PDF usage is mostly:

    1. Open the file
    2. Page Down
    3. Go to step 2

which works about the same in Evince as in Acrobat Reader. Is it different for you?

Not really, but I use Acrobat daily at work. I am used to the interface and the look and feel. Plus if I recall correctly Evince doesn't allow searching of the text or the ability to fill out forms for printing. Both of these are features I use (large white-papers and for filling out insurance claims with my insurance).

Forgot to add Sun Java and Virtualbox. I have to use virtualbox to run an XP install unfortunately because my work. Mainly the remote support client and email system (never can get Lotus Notes to install correctly in Ubuntu, wish they would release a .deb version).

Evince definitely supports searching. I don't know about forms.
