Ubuntu and Dual Nvidia 9800 gx2 in SLI (Quad SLI)

Ive been trying to get this to work for a very lon time now. Ive tried using the different drivers included with Ubuntu, I tried following the directions using the Nvidia linux drivers, Ive tried alost everything I believe. I love the operating system, I think it's great. It detects my cards bothe of them but when I try to do the driver install and restart it won't boot back into the GUI. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you...

I am new to Ubuntu and I have had the same problem.

I have managed to get back into the GUI by following this information at:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...80/+bug/366226

Even though I connect to my monitor with a HDMI cable, by using the first VGA controller location for updating xorg.conf it has allowed me back into the GUI and reports that my Nvidia drive is activatded.

Although I have not yet tested to see if my driver is working correctly.
