Question Adding new PATA drives and GRUB

    Hi All

I have been reading old threads on this forum with regards to running SATA and PATA together.

My Current setup is running Ubuntu on a single 500GB SATA drive, i need to install windows (probably vista) again but i want to keep my existing ubuntu installation intact.

The other hdd is a PATA disk and i would prefer to install windows to that. I have read that the BIOS always defaults to PATA disks first (my own POST screens seem to indicate that as well)

Do i need to re-install Ubuntu to the PATA disk and then install VISTA to the SATA disk?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

    Andrew
