update from es.ubuntu repositories fail

Dear All
I'm noticing since 4 or 5 days ago that I cannot perform an apt-get update of my ubuntu 8.10 server from es.ubuntu.xxxx repositories. I've even re-formatted and re-installed the server machine but no success.

Are you aware of any issue with spanish repositories?

Have you tried changing to a different download server to see if it solves the problem? You can change the download server in Software Sources (System>Admin>Software Sources) on the 1st tab change download server to main.

Yes.. in fact all the repositories from the sources.list failed, even those from security.ubuntu...
I've seen another recent post that seems to have the same issue than me. My server is newly installed so it's very strange, I have another machine with another Linux distro (Mint) that works perfectly, so no problem with my adsl.
Any idea?
