    LXDE: wrong file associations?

I've been using LXDE happily for some time now, but there's an annoyance: no matter if I set certain file types in both Thunar (yes, in LXDE) or PCManFM, the commandline xdg-open application will still use default applications to open these files (like ImageMagick for pictures) and this disturbs certain applications that use xdg-open (like Deluge)!

Is there a fix for this? Or is this some sort of Clash of Standards that somehow has to be fixed inside these WMs, xdg-open or file managers themselves?

Sorry to bump an old thread, but the previous post is exactly what I'm trying to figure out as well.

The lxde wiki doesn't have much about it.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks.
