Customization of GRUB

Hi all,

I have two questions:

1)

I recently decided to add a custom image to my grub... and *eventually* got it to work.

The only thing is though that now it no longer highlights entries in the menu, anyone know how I can resolve this? (Oh and I wouldn't mind knowing how to change the text colour either)

2)

Is there any way I can remove the ugly instructions and border from GRUB?
