Intrepid freezes when changing windows

Intrepid crashes when opening new window
Well, I have intrepid up and running. Mail works great (zimbra). IM is running (pidgin). Sys. runs great. No software crashes. No viruses. Comming from Windows I am impressed. I have only one problem. It crashes a lot, but only when opening a new window. For instance, I am in Documents and open a folder in there. The folder almost opens (appears translucent), and the sys. locks. Any ideas. Any and all advice will be appreciated.

I would normally just wait it out, but this issue is causing me no end of trouble. For instance, I am learning C++, and had to start over 6 times due to freezes. And something tell me this is going to be a complicated fix. So, any help will be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest you bumping your thread in ABT with more info on what you have tried to correct the issue. Thanks

Sorry, my mistake. I thought there was a place to post unanswered posts, and that this was it. I can't add to my post with what I have tried, because I don't have a clue as to what might be causing. I guess I will research this outside of the forums. I need to find an answer, because I am tired of freezing every 45 minutes. Again, sorry to have mis-posted.
