    compiz-fusion widget layer

    so im playing around in compiz-fusion and i see something about a widget layer........wats it do, hows it work, and how can i customize it?

    please and thank you in advance.......

    personally im using ubuntu intrepid ibex, but im sure its the same on others......

    well it displays a lawer of widgets on your screen (the default binding is f9 i believ) this'll work with screenlets, if you mark them as widgets, other than that i haven't seen any other use for it...

    I used to use it when I ran cairo-dock to show a hidden panel. Very handy as cairo-dock doesn't really have a good Main Menu app like a regular gnome-panel.
    You add the command you need under "Behavior>Widget Windows"

    you can set the desklets of Cairo-Dock on the Widget Layer too.
    very convenient to clean your desktop/reduce the number of applets in the dock, and still easy to access.
    (and by the way, Cairo-Dock has the same Main Menu app as the gnome-panel)
