Stumbleupon barely works

So I've been having problems with Stumbleupon. Sometimes when you click the stumble button, it just sits there and doesn't do anything at all. Click it again an hour later and it works perfectly. Or, sometimes you click thumbs up or down and they don't work either. I'm wondering, does anyone know what's causing this? I haven't tried disabling Ubuntu Linux Modifications... that often fixes problems in Firefox... but it usually creates more problems. Anyone have any ideas? I'm highly considering just installing the Windows version of Firefox in Wine.
