Need a good keyboard/mouse- any suggestions?

Hey! I am building a PC and am now replacing old cheap accesories. I need a nice keyboard and mouse. I happen to like gaming quality, and wireless is evil.

I want the best keyboard, and the best mouse, for my money.

Colours do not have to match

    Thanks!

I highly recommend the Saitek Eclipse line of Keyboards..backlit, great key response and the volume buttons work by default in Breezy.

FYI these are awesome full size keyboards not like the other backlit ones that are laptop keyboards. For a mouse I recommend the Logitech G5 gaming mouse, I have used it and it's precision is a marvel. You can change the DPI on the fly with an up and down buttons located below the scroll wheel.

the best keyboard, hands down, is the IBM Model M... find one on ebay, or at an office with stock from 12 years ago.

any Logitec laser mouse is good

Well I prefer the plain keyboard look but...I also like this Keyboard from Logitech,
    The G15 Gamer Keyboard.

My friend has one and LCD has an SDK so there are apps little apps that hook into it to say keep score in fps' etc. The macro buttons are easy to program with the included software, but I am afraid to say Linux compatibility is probably non-existent. For gaming though, highly recommended.

My favorite mouse is the Logitech MX-510. I own three of em and I'm shopping for a good price on a 4th one. But any of the higher end Logitechs are very similar and they're all good.

I'm actually using a friend's spare MX-700 wireless mouse on this box right now. It's ok, but too heavy, being wireless. It's not being used right now because he bought a G5, which is very nice indeed.

I have a Logitech UltraX keyboard which is basically resembling a notebook keyboard. I'd say it allows me typing faster than any other keyboard before.

And a MX310 mouse. I don't need very much button, but the fore- and backwards buttons are quite useful in Windows and Linux.

If you want a natural keyboard, then the new Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 is a very good and comfortable one.
Microsoft makes much better hardware then software.
