    5.1 sound reproduction in mplayer

    Hi,
I've got mplayer installed manually. I installed a lot of codecs to make it really usefull. Theres a guide for that on the forums. My problem is how can I get full 5.1 output i mplayer ? I still get all the sounds on all the speakers and not the 5.1 channel output.

    Thanks

Need more detail.. what are you using? alsa? Which version?

what is the output of aplay -l

This is a good debug page (note the mplayer syntax at the bottom)
