    notice applet for ubuntuforums

Just wonder if it is possible to get a auto notice applet on the gnome panel or firefox toolbar so that I won't miss the replies of my thread.

You can configure your account such that the forum will e-mail you any time a reply is made in a thread to which you are subscribed.

That is a really cool idea. But until someone comes up with an UF-specific applet, you could give Specto a try (http://specto.sourceforge.net/)
I try to treat the cause, not the symptom. I avoid the terminal in instructions, unless it's easier or necessary. My instructions will work within the Ubuntu system, instead of breaking or subverting it. Those are the three guarantees to the helpee.

It is a good idea, however until that becomes reality, I think getting emails is the best idea.

You could set up a filter with your email client to put them into a certain folder or something That way they wouldn't clog up your inbox
