    AHH! grub confusion and stuff

    ok i had win7, xp and ubuntu on my computer

    my xp self destructed so i tried to do a repair install but i lost my serial >.>

    when i select the windows 7 launcher in grub it just goes into xp instead of bringing up the menu

    so anyway, is there a way to delete my windows 7 partition and then increase my ubuntu partition?

    dammit i really hate typing these things while im tired

    Hi,
    boot your computer with an Ubuntu LiveCD choosing to try not install.

    Click on the link at the bottom of my post and follow the instructions there.

    i dont have access to a livecd anymore

    also, now it will only boot into windows xp...it wont show me the grub menu

    Can you download and burn an ISO image?

    If yes, then you can still follow the original instructions I posted.

    If no, is there someone who can do this for you?

    my internet has been slowed...downloading a ubuntu livecd would take forever on a 64kbps connection

    Try using supergrub then - download is here http://prdownload.berlios.de/supergr...rid-1.98s1.iso

    Burn it as an iso and boot with it.
