[SOLVED] Does anyone know where I can get a wireless card?

See, the only options I have at local stores here [1] are the Linksys WMP54G, D-Link DWL G510, D-Link DWA 510, Netgear WG311v3.

Now, none of those work under Linux, and I already have a Netgear WG311v3, and I know for a fact that it is junk, both under Windows and Linux. I'd rather not use ndiswrapper because in my experience it is uncomfortable, and sometimes I have to load the kernel drive again despite it being in /etc/modules.

I can't believe that I can't find a single wireless card here that works under Linux without ndiswrapper, and my rage is reaching the point where I'm going to go around burning down network card companies' headquarters.

Does anyone know if I can get a card that works under Ubuntu 8.04 (it would be nice if it worked under Debian 4.0 too )

    Thank you.

[1] Here being Madras, Tamil Nadu. I'm willing to go anywhere in the city for one.

SOLUTION: The solution was to buy the Linksys WMP54G. It works fine under Ubuntu 8.04 and Ubuntu 8.10 but not under Debian 4.0. You can buy this card in a few places, but I got it from Mercy Electronics, L.B. Road.

You are a fortunate man, tuskenraider, a fortunate man indeed. I, alas, live in a country to which newegg does not sell. Nor do I have a PCMCIA slot, this being a desktop. All in all, Edimax will not save me today.

Ha ha, funnily enough, I do have a really long network cable around the house, but I'd rather the place look less like an office and more like a home

I bought a Linksys card, as described in first post.
