    Linux 2.6.28 kernel - do I need to upgrade to it?

    Do I need to upgrade to the newest kernel? If so how do I do it?

    If it's in the repos, you can upgrade to it. Otherwise, you have to do it by hand and I wouldn't recommend you do it yourself unless you know darn well what you are doing.
