Crack servers -> Get file/transfer funds -> Upgrade computer -> Repeat. All other games I've played in this genre suffer from the same faults.

    However, it's nice to see things like tab completion, the use of some real terminal commands (cat and ls for example). What I would like to see is more real stuff in the game. It doesn't have to be anything complicated, but for example, it would be cool to use something like ssh instead of the all-encompassing "connect" command, wget instead of "download", etc.

    As for bugs, I've only encountered one so far. When I tried to close the game it froze up on me and I had to kill my X session. If I can remember to I will try piping the terminal output to a file and we'll see if it has any dying words.

    @MaximB:
    To a certain degree, we can make the game "real" ... but that will just make the game's market even narrower.

    @Nevon:
    The first level(s) are meant to be simple (specifically the tutorial), to help you accomodate with the game. As you progress through the level, things will get more and more complicated and you will see that not everything is straightforward and easy to figure out. Unfortunately, the steps outlined by you, won't help you finish the game

    If that's the case, maybe you can create mods for us the hardcore GNU/Linux users
    I'm sure they will sell well among us.
    I even got a name for it : "A way to a true cracker"
    Off course that would mean that besides the true commands (ssh, scp, wget ...) you will need to include some real tools like air-crack (for cracking wireless passwords) and others which I am not personally familiar with.

    I mean you got such a great idea, why not make it useful for real life ? why not make it a learning experience ?

    @MaximB:

    If there is demand, we can make extra levels for more "hardcore" gamers.

    @meborc:

    This is still a beta, so we expect to have issues. We are however working to fix them for the final release.
    We have a reputation of releasing pretty much flawless titles
