    Hi lukjad007!!!

    Well you can certainly do that, although you note that I have specified the active window. Using the default irssi config /leave is actually an alias for the /part command, the help info for this command shows:

    Code:
    PART [<channels>] [<message>]
     
    Parts from the current or specified channel. Depending on your settings, 
    closes the corresponding window, too.
    So either way is fine...
