    Can't install/boot at all [Laptop]

    Ok here we are..At first I wanna say If I am on the wrong section..Sorry..
    Now heres the story..
    I wanted to see how linux go on my sisters laptop so I got and tried many many distributions with Live-cd but all this was pretty much pointless cause whatever live-cd distribution I tried I got an error and it didn't move further away..
    Ata1.00: revalidation failed (errno=-2)
    Ata1.00: exception Emask 0x0 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x0 action 0x2 frozen
    Ata1.00: cmd a0/00:00:00:24:00/00:00:00:00:00/a0 tag 0 pio 36 in
    Ata1.00: status: { DRDY }
    So it stuck there and I didn't knew what to do..
    But yesterday night I thought I give a shot to the wubi thing so I made an install (the folder thing inside windows..) and then I restarted..At First I thought it would be something like a virtual machine window in my windowsbox..Then I saw the boot menu..I tried to start the ubuntu option but in vain cause it stop at the same error again..So then I opened my windowsbox to uninstall it but nothing I couldn't uninstall it..
    So thats the story..
    Q: I wanna uninstall it..If thats not possible tell me how to erase it from the boot menu which appeared..

    Laptop specs:AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-66 2.30GHz (The processor matters most for compatibility I think)
    The ubuntu version I used is the AMD64 8.04.1
