Anyway, mine. My Dust-E theme, Songbird with YABS theme, E17 WM, ZSH shell, can't remember where I got the wallpaper, Conky, and Feh was used to set the background after setting it in E17 so that conky and other psuedo-transparent apps could look transparent.

Yeah, I know..... I'm one of them! I just thought an Arch desktop thread would be sorta cool in this sub-forum..... and another way to show off my new theme! haha.


I also thought that we could use bigger thumbnail images since there will be less people posting. My images might have been too large at 800 x 600 pixels, so maybe the elmer_42 size image of 640 x 480..... or whatever.... this thread will probably fall off the bottom of the forum and disappear like most my threads.

My Xfce desktop is as dark & easy on my eyes as I can make it. I use an Aero theme that I spent some time modifying using Gcolor2 to help with the hex translation.

Worker isn't quite as easy on the eyes, but I can quickly find what I need to with the contrasting buttons.

Xfce ftw. I think it's safe to say that Shiki-Colors is the best gtk theme I've used. It's just awesome.

I've never been as comfortable with any OS or distro as I am with Arch/Xfce.

I hope the Xfce dev's don't add too much to it in the future & ruin the beautiful simplicity of it.

Someone somewhere can improve dramatically the handling of desktop colours in GTK+ themes though! We shouldn't have to spend hours with a hex <-> colour translator to modify the desktop/window colour scheme.
