    ubuntu windows network sharing

    I'm trying to share a wireless connection between my vista laptop and ubuntu 8.10 laptop.

    The Ubuntu machine does not have a network card, the vista machine does. They are connected through ethernet.

    So this is what I'm trying to do:

    Router -> <<wireless connection>> -> vista machine >- <<ethernet connection>> -> ubuntu machine

    How do I do this?

    Note: When I had the ubuntu machine connected directly to the router, I had a NXserver and file sharing working between the 2 machines, but I can't get this to work.

    When I try to use the setup, the Vista machine can see the router but won't connect to it and the ubuntu machine can't see the vista machine, as far as I can tell

    Further examination, 99% sure this is a windows problems so ignore unless you're feeling charitable.

    Whenever I enable connection sharing on the vista machine the vista machine stops talking to the router.
