I thought my PC freezes randomly and I searched for it on the forum, I found this: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.p...=crash&page=20

But I was suspicious, because I didn't have the same symptoms as they have, I don't have Dell stuff and wireless card either, I have PC, not laptop, the caps lock LED wasn't blinking when the Ubuntu was frozen so it didn't make sense.

I tried to log in via SSH from my another computer and it worked. I restarted the gdm, but the system still doesn't react to the mouse and the keyboard. If I push the caps lock/num lock/scroll lock button, the LED doesn't lit.

I have Ubuntu 8.10, the kernel is 2.6.27-9-generic. Everything's up to date, the Ubuntu was installed yesterday.

The mouse and the keyboard have PS/2 connectors and they worked fine with the previous system (Ubuntu 6.06 LTS).
