    Media Server

Is it possible to use the ubuntu server edition to run as a media server, as in being able to play movies/music/pictures from ps3/360/other media extender devices?

Yes of course it is possible, but what exactly you want to do is not clear.

Or neither, though that wouldn't be a very good media server, it's proof of how flexible ubuntu can be!

    Re: Media Server

In windows you would use windows media player or the media center software to share your media files and then the ps3 sees the computer your useing as a media server, but a normal file server wouldnt be able to do it. So i'm trying to figure out an easy way to do it, peferably with out having to install a gui.
