Is this what you are referring to?
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source...43.19-0ubuntu8
This may well be above my pay grade but, can this be installed?

I tried installing these drivers yesterday but the installation fails . Noticed that you have a different graphics chipset in your TC1100. Is this 32MB or more? From the link you provided (other post), it seems Unity 3D requires 128MB so 3D is out of the question for me.
I installed the nvidia-96 package two different ways (one where I installed enough dependicies so it would install, and another where I forced it) but then Ubuntu no longer boots.
Looks like 3D is hopeless on 11.04 for now.
Here's what I have so far: http://linuxdeal.com/how-to-ubuntu-11.04-hp-tc1100

Pointless post only to say that there are still people wanting to get Unity to run nicely on the HP TC1100 as well as all the features of the device.
So thanks to you all trying. I would help if I could understand anything...:/
Thanks!
I tried installing the NVidia 96 a few different ways, and it just plain won't work. After trying just about everything it appears to be by design, as if the driver is blacklisted.
Also, I noticed on your web guide that you say suspend is working correctly. Actually, suspend is one of the features that no longer works on my machine following the upgrade. Bluetooth is also broken. I can live without 3d and Bluetooth, but I really miss suspend. Any ideas about how to troubleshoot this?
Cheers,
Randy
Thanks for all tips and viewpoints here. Very useful to me. Thanks
I installed fresh (no upgrade) and suspend just worked. In previous versions we installed some scripts that ran before/after suspend to fix the stylus or turn wireless back on. It is possible that these scripts are causing trouble now; see if you can remove them. Beyond that there may be some specific log files you can look at, but I'm not really sure which ones. This is why I do a fresh install for each new version.
Bluetooth is on and looks all right but I haven't tested it.
If all else fails and you need suspend, just reinstall.

Developers have confirmed that there is no working nvidia-96 driver for 11.04. They are working on it, so it should be released at some point. About one to two months if I had to guess. Let's hope unity will work after that.
I re-submitted a patch for the stylus buttons (see the launchpad link at the bottom of my guide). It doesn't quite work now but it's a good start. Please try to get it working if you have that C programming skill ;]

Hi!
Thank you all for this thread. I've been using tc1100s for some years now and I keep coming back to this thread for advise.
Yesterday I installed ubuntu 11.04 on my latest tc1100 (I'm a kind of an addict), I followed all the tutorials I could find and dug in the forums, but unfortunately I can't activate the wifi card (I've tried from the BIOS, it says that it is ON) and when I rotate the screen, it all becomes blurry and I have to go back to landscape...
Any ideas...?
Thank you very much!!!
